Licensed Only in Missouri and North Carolina
The attorney is licensed to practice law only in Missouri and North Carolina and does not intend to give advice to anyone on a legal matter that does not involve Missouri or North Carolina law. If your issue involves the law of another state, please seek an attorney licensed in that jurisdiction.
No Claim of Specialization
Nobody at Butler Legal Service, P.L.L.C. currently holds a board certification as a specialist in any particular area of law, and we do not hold ourselves out as such. Nothing on this Site should be read to suggest that we are "specialists" in any given area, including estate planning, civil rights, or higher education law. North Carolina attorneys may not use "specialist," "specialize," or similar variants in describing their services except as permitted under Rule 7.4 of the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct, and we adhere to that restriction.
Community Outreach and Intake Materials
Content shared at community events, church partnerships, or through informational flyers, including anything about estate planning bundles is for general education. Completing an interest form or questionnaire at one of these events starts the intake process; it is not, by itself, an engagement of the Firm. Representation begins only once we've confirmed we can take your matter, cleared any conflicts, and both signed a written agreement.
Confidentiality of Correspondence
If you email us before an attorney-client relationship is established, please avoid sharing sensitive details about your legal matter. Once we do exchange privileged or confidential communications as part of representation, they're protected as such, but please don't assume that protection applies before representation begins.
